Aged in Malaga wine barrels, the expectations rises to the ceiling here… The aroma is oak and red wine, distinct smell of ripe berries. The colour is also extremely inviting- not burgundy but blood red, really dark. The closest to red wine out of any beer I’ve tried. Produces a light degree of foam inside the glass, but only at the edges. Taste: It gives me acidic ripe cherries, gooseberry and some oak. Just a mere hint of sweetness before turning dangerously acidic, and on the second sip, a hint of leather and overall very sharp. With the acidity lingering for a good while in the aftertaste.
